[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]• How often will you clean my windows?
As a business we are usually flexible in this aspect. How often we visit usually depends on the clients wishes. However, generally for most residential properties we visit on a 6 or 8 weekly frequency. Properties in rural locations are sometimes less often. As a rule properties in built up ‘traffic heavy’ places require visits to be more often than those in rural locations.
Larger bespoke properties usually have other criteria affecting frequency. With these we may only visit as often as 3 monthly or occassionally 4 monthly.
• What if I’m not happy with the work you’ve done?
If you’re not satisfied with the cleanliness of the work then call within 36 hours of our visit and we’ll reclean any windows you’re not happy with, free of charge of course.
• Do you just do window cleaning?
No. We do a great deal of other building cleaning. We also offer gutter cleaning, fascia, soffit, barge-board and cladding cleaning. For clients who have solar panel arrays we also offer a solar array cleaning service and conservatory cleaning, including our conservatory ‘deep clean’ service.
• Why do you clean windows with the waterfed-pole method?
We have been window cleaning using the waterfed pole method now for over 7 years. This is because a few years ago the Government introduced the WAHD (Working at Heights Directive 2005). The WAHD directive simply means that an employer and those in control of any work at height activity must make sure work is properly planned, supervised and carried out by competent people. This includes using the right type of equipment for working at height. An employee has a legal duty to take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions. We therefore have to ensure that if there is a safer, alternative method to working at height instead of using ladders then we need to implement it. http://www.hse.gov.uk/work-at-height/the-law.htm
• Will you clean my window frames and cills as well as the glass?
Yes of course we will. This is all included in the price. The frames and cills are part of the window, so they’ll be cleaned too. On first cleans we also clean the underside of the upstairs cills that protrude from the house wall so they dont look cobwebby and dirty from the downstairs outsides.
• How will you clean my windows?
We use the waterfed-pole method to clean the vast majority of windows we clean nowadays. Occassionally we’ll clean windows in the traditional manner, with a squeegee and mop, but this is usually only if we clean the inside windows.
• My last window-cleaner couldn’t clean the window over my conservatory, will you?
Yes – of course.
• How do I pay for my cleaning?
We have a number of ways in which you can pay for your window cleaning. We take cash or cheque on the day if you are in when we arrive, if you’re not in you can forward a cheque made payable to ‘Oakley Window Cleaning’. You can pay with a BACS transfer directly into our bank account or we also take payment with a card reader over the phone – as well as PayPal.
Our preferred method of payment is a Direct Debit scheme we have recently introduced.
For more comprehensive details of all payment methods can be found on the following page http://www.oakleywindowcleaning.co.uk/account/
